Sleek Makeup Part 2: Blushes, Highlight, & Bronzer

Hello My Beauties!!!

This is part 2 of my Sleek Makeup haul. This specifically is all products of the face. I did a post on all the eyeshadow palettes that I purchased. If you want to see the check out my previous post to this one.

I purchased 3 single blushes, a trio palette of blushes, contour highlight and blush palette and a highlight.

Single blushes are $5.99, trio palettes are $12.49 and highlighter was $8.49.

Life's a Peach, Flamingo, Pixie Pink

The blushes are very pigmented and all matte. A little bit goes a long way. Life's a Peach is a little bit chalky and I was most excited to get this one so I was a little bummed. It is still a beautiful color and very much wearable.

Lace Palette
Chantilly, Guipure, Crochet

These follow same suit as the single blushes. Love this one. It is definitely more wearable any time of the year. The first and last ones are matte. Only the middle blush has a sheen to it. No chunky glitter...subtle and beautiful.

                                                     Peach Shimmer

I love this highlighter. It is so subtle and gorgeous. This is what you get if you swatch all colors together. You can use each strip individually if you want. LOVE IT!!

                                     Light Face Contouring Palette

Finally the contouring kit. This brings a contour highlight and blush. The contour is matte and blush does have a little sheen to it. Highlighter is amazing. Its more of a pink highlight. You can get this palette in light, medium, or dark.

All palettes bring a mirror the same size as the palette. I think for what you get this makeup is great to have for my makeup lovers. Great for the upcoming holidays too.

Hope you enjoyed!!

xoxo

Sleek Makeup: Part 1 Eyeshadows

Hello My Beauties!!

I did a haul on my YouTube channel showing what I bought from Sleek Makeup. If you do not know who they are, they are a drugstore makeup style company from the UK and their makeup is AWESOME!!!! You can shop on their website here. Their shipping rates have come down recently and it is so much more affordable to shop through their website. This was my first time trying their line. I purchased so much that I will break this down to 2 parts. The first are eyeshadow palettes.

I purchased 5 eyeshadow palettes...I know a bit much but I figured it I was going to shop why not get all that I want in one shot, right? The palettes are Au Natural, Sunset, Ultra Matts V2, The Original, and Showstoppers. The eyeshadows are vibrant, pigmented and velvety soft to the touch. Some are more pigmented then others and some are chalky as well. Overall, these palettes are awesome and they are only $9.99 each which I feel is a bargain for what you get. The packaging is sleek...no pun intended and each palette has a mirror the same size as the palette which is a plus.

I have done swatches without flash and without a primer.

Stay tuned for the blushes, highlight and bronzer that I will be posting pictures for!!

Fall Cranberry Makeup: Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette

Hello My Beauties!

I uploaded a makeup tutorial today on my YouTube channel using the Coastal Scents Fall Festival palette. I love this palette and pigmentation is amazing. When Coastal Scents has specials going on you can get this palette at around $8 which is a steal considering the size of the eyeshadows and payout of them.

Here I will show you more in depth on the palette that I used. You can find the palette here if you are interested in purchasing. Coastal Scents has more palettes that are themed or you can make your own by choosing eyeshadows individually.

This as well as the rest of their themed palettes come with a mirror as large as the case which is awesome to use when applying eyeshadows. I have done swatches without a primer using flash. As always you do get some eyeshadows that are more pigmented then others. They are soft and velvety almost close to LORAC ones. Some shadows are powdery but I have not experienced fallout with the shadows. You can take them out and rearrange however you want if you choose to.

L to R: Cherry Chocolate, Raisin Berry, New Penny, Gunmetal

L to R: Kiwi Green, Deep Cantaloupe, Regalia Purple, American Rose

L to R: Chamois Nude (only matte shade) Bright Copper, Dark Golden Olive, Light Apricot

In this palette you only get one matte shade (Chamois Nude). The rest are shimmery but do not contain large glitter chunks. These shadows are available individually if you only want to choose 1 or 2 out of the palette.

Hope you guys enjoyed and do not forget to check out the makeup tutorial here

Love ya!!

Avon Everlasting Eyeshadow Pencil

Hello My Beauties!!!

I was watching one of Emily's video from Beauty Broadcast (love her channel) and she had done a review on some Avon products. She had mentioned the everlasting eyeshadow pencils and raved about them. Since I am an Avon/Mark Rep, I went ahead and ordered this hidden gems.

There are 10 colors in total. You have light shades to dark. Some shades look matte and others are shimmery. I went ahead and ordered 5 of the 10.

From Left to Right: Violet, Aquamarine, Crystal Taupe, Sapphire, & Smoky Plum

They are retractable and the color is on the end of the stick so you do not have to guess. They are creamy and saturated (very pigmented). Aquamarine, Sapphire and Smoky Plum are the matte shades. They run around $4.99 on the Avon website here.

Overall, I think these are great bases as well as stand alone eyeshadows. I am definitely going to order the other 5 shades. Keep an eye out for a makeup tutorial on my YouTube Channel.

If you have ordered these let me know what you think.

Black Radiance Continous Creme Eye Color

Hello My Beauties!!

Today while looking around at Kmart I came across something that I heard about but had not seen in person. They are from the Black Radiance line which is more geared towards women of color. These Continuous Crème Eye Color Shadows are AMAZING!!!

They claim to be water resistant and come with a small synthetic brush. I saw a total of 4 different colors and picked up all 4. Their consistency is air-whipped and SUPER pigmented. They are cruelty-free for all of my animal lovers. Each one was $4.99 and to me they were a steal!

I did not show the fourth color because I was so anxious to open one so I did not have the package. The four colors are Champagne, Mauve, Olive, and Eggplant.

When you first open the package they are closed in this air tight seal much like a ketchup bottle. I am assuming this helps moisture stay sealed in and not dry out the product.

Here are the four colors from left to right are Champagne, Olive, Mauve, and Eggplant.

Here they are swatched. As you can see they are so pigmented and I barely put my finger in the product.

Champagne- a gold shimmer color
Olive- a deep green with gold shimmer
Mauve- a soft pink purple
Eggplant- a deep purple

Overall, for the cost of each, color selection and pigmentation, these are definitely worth it!! I love the air-whipped texture and the colors are amazing. A little bit goes a long way. As far as on the eye I have not tried them yet. I am excited to see how they perform and longevity of the color.  I would definitely recommend these if you are a fan of the Maybelline Color Tattoos. They aren't as hard in texture but color payoff is awesome. Stay tuned to my YouTube channel to see if they land in one of my Sunday Loves & Duds videos.

Thanks guys!!
Alejandra

Glossybox Unboxing July 2013

Hello My Beauties!!

I just got my Glossybox and wanted to share what I received this month. If you do not know what this is, it is a monthly subscription for $21.00. They send you higher end product samples, typically 5 and sometimes you get lucky and get full size products. Here is the link if you are interested in joining or just checking it out.

This month the Bohemian Summer.
Included with this month that isn't normally was a small GUESS travel bag and 30% off coupon to use at any GUESS store.

Here are all the products:

1.Sue Devitt-Triple C-Weed Pressed Powder- Retail $28.00/0.35 Oz
This one was a full size product. It claims to have green tea and vitamin C. It controls shine and evens out skin tone. This is right up my alley. I have very oily skin.

2. Novex-Brazilian Keratin Hair Care Treatment Crème- Retail $4.99/3.5 Oz
This one was also full size. It claims to replenish hair proteins to restore shine and smoothness for all hair types. This will come in handy now that Fall/Winter are around the corner.

3. Jelly Pong Pong-Lip Blush- Retail $18.00/0.09 Oz
I lucked out this month because this one is too FULL SIZE! It is a lip stain that contains beeswax and ceresin wax. It is a color that I love but it stinks that summer is almost over. This is a best summer shade.

4. Pandora's- Nail Polish- Retail $9.50/10.5mL
The nail polish bottle doesn't tell me how many mL it is so I cannot say if this is full size. The color is pure white and too is nice for summer. Just by opening the bottle I can tell that it is not an opaque white. It claims to be opaque within 2 coats and dries to shiny finish

5.Anatomicals- Spray Misty for me Facial Spritz- Retail $9.00/100mL
This too was a full size product. This states that its great for spritzing while on the beach or hiking in trails;contains Lavender and peppermints extracts. This is suitable for normal, dry, and sensitive skin.

Overall, this month Glossybox went over the top with FULL SIZE products. I definitely got my money's worth. Check out my YouTube Channel here to see if any of this products end up in my Sunday Loves & Duds videos.

Adios!!!
Alejandra
